Indonesia only send young guns to Malaysia Open, but they will face top player.

    Men's Single:

    1. Alamsyah vs Ken Limm (MAL), 2nd round meet Joachim Persson (DEN) and Lin Dan (CHN) :crying:
    2. Tommy Sugiarto, the player which is hope will be raised up by PBSI facing PG (DEN) in the 1st round. The worst draw for Tommy after last week bad draw met Chen Yu.
    3. Jeffer Rosobin (INA) vs Lee Tsuen Seng
    4. Markus Wijanu (INA) vs Eric Pang (NETH)

    Women's Single :
    1. Adrianti Firdasari vs Nicole Grether (GER), and Zhang Ning (CHN) in the next round. Why Firda looked stagnant? No progression after SEA GAMES? :crying:
    2. Fransisca Harris vs Jang Soo Yun (KOR), and face Pi Hongyan (FRA) after won.

    Men's Double:
    1. Yoga/Yonathan vs Au/Chang (MAS)
    2. Sindoro/Khosadalina vs Choong/Lee (MAS). Are they from Pelatnas or Djarum?
    3. Joko/Hendra vs Chew Choong Eng/Hong (MAS). Hope that can through quarter, but they must meet Steffensen/Rasmussen in 2nd round
    4. Rendra/Frans vs Gan/Abd. Latief (MAS). Bad draw, but hope they can show their fighting spirit.
All of them will meet Malaysian player in the first round. Interesting matches. See who are going to be the winner :)

    Women's Double :
Jo/Greysia won't participate after 3 tournaments. Indonesia will send :
    1. Rani Mundiasti/Endang (PO finalist) vs Wong/Ngu (MAS), easy draw in first round but in the 2nd meet 1st seeded Gao Ling/Huang Sui :( :(
    2. Lita/Nathalia vs Ooi/Wong (MAS), same as Rani/Endang, if they win, they will meet Lee Kyung Won/Lee Hyo Jung (KOR) as 2nd seeded. :(

    Mixed Double :
Nova/Butet take a rest after be champion in SO.
    1. Devin/Tetty Yunita get bye in 1st round and will probably meet Erikssen/Shjoldager (DEN) in quarter.
    2. Anggun/Vita also get bye in the 1st and facing Malaysia or Chinese pair in 2nd round. Probably meet Lee Jae Jin/Lee Hyo Jung in quarter.

well, there are always good things coming out of bad things - it'll give them some good experience playing elite players.

Only Alamsyah and Jeffer Rosobin (non-Pelatnas) have some chances of progressing through Round 1/32. Tommy...well...its a good experience playing top players early in his career.

Tough for both to progress. Both are likely to be out by Thursday.

Ajie and his partner are in fact sparring partners for the Malaysian team. I saw Choong Tan Fook "coaching" them during the match against Anthony Clark/Robert Blair.

As for the Pelatnas pairs, Hendra/Joko and Yoga/Yonathan should make it to Round 1/16. If Hendra/Joko can beat Rasmussen/Steffensen, it will be a very good achievement. They have some chance. Yoga/Yonathan is likely to face Mohd Tazari/Lin in Round 1/16...but chance of winning is perhaps slim. Similarly, it will be difficult for Rendra/Frans to beat Gan/Abdul Latif. I hope these 3 pairs can spring some surprise?

I will be more than delighted if they can negotiate their first test safely. Any progress beyond that is a massive bonus.

Devin/Yunita is likely to face Tan Bin Shen/Ooi Yu Hang, a match they can win. As for Anggun/Vita, their Round 1/16 match is a tricky tie no matter which pair they face. Its likely to be Gan Teik Chai/Fong Chew Yen. Again, I will be satisfied if both pairs can reach the quarter-final.

Overall, it will be impossible for Team Indonesia to get any titles in the MO this year due to the presence of the top players from other countries
