A couple people (here and off the board) have been after me to train with them this summer, so I'm currently looking into gym time in Strathmore - either the Catholic school big gym or the Crowther Junior High Gym.

I was wondering how many players here would be interested?

The focus would be mostly on court drills/conditioning/game strategy. Cost will probably be about $4/session, you provide your own shuttles. To keep costs down we'll likely have to be responsible for clean up. Sweeping up a few feathers isn't much of hassle.

I'm looking at trying for twice a week if possible. One weeknight for two hours and maybe a saturday afternoon/sunday night.

I'd be surpised to max out, but I'd limit the numbers to 16 players (four courts) that way you always have court time.

I'll also be able to get guys like K. Chan, R. Legere, Sarosh Wadia and maybe Greg Bury to come out and play every so often too.

Well is appears that i can't secure any of the gyms at Strathmore, so it looks like I'm back to training at Talisman.

I have to work it out with my wife as what days, but I'm trying to make it two days a week, from 9-11 pm. I'll be primarily working with Eric Reed, but if more players show up we can work rotate people around on a couple courts

I'm looking for players of the intermediate/advanced level that are ready to do lots of drills i.e less emphasis on playing games and more on technique. Keep in mind I'm also going to be training, so I tend to do the drills with players and rotate around.

To give you an idea of what you're looking at: Eric and I one night did varations of clear/drop drills for 40 plus minutes.

this sound interesting, if dont mind joining if u have room.
I can use more drills and less games. I can help drilling other students too. Are you charging anything?

No charge. The entry into Talisman is steep enough.

However bring your own shuttles (I don't train with plastic)

I'm thinking Monday and Thursday nights, give or take what my wife has on the go and Talisman schedule.

I have court booked for 9 pm tonight. If one of you could phone ahead an book a court for 10 pm, we can go a full two hours. For now we have Eric, Cooler, M.L and myself which will be a good core to go with.

I no longer run MSN, but it's just as easy, e-mail me at:

vining_wolff@geminieng.ab.ca and I'll send out messeages as required.
