As shown in the pictures, that particular defect, do you reckon it's a dent in the racket or is it just a paint chip? In other words, would that affect the durabilitiy of my racket?

Just got my NS9000X today and i haven't even tried it... now im pretty worried :crying:

localized compression slide on surface, it shouldnt affect the frame core. If u didnt notice it when u bot it, likely source of compression is by the stringer.
No way that marking left the yonex factory like that.

yeh i think it's pretty possible that it was done by the stringer... it looks bad... argh... so no immediate threat i guess?

it's a mark created by the clamp of the stringing machine..now, my assumption
regarding the paint in some NS rackets are quite "soft"..especially the application
of the paint are quite thick. the stringer should add some "protector" like a piece
of rubber before "clamping" the racket frames of NS rackets.

that's what happened to my NS8000K rackets, after stringing, i've noticed that
there are SOME marks in the frame just like in the pictures..it's just the paint not
the inner frame itself. until now, i'm using my rackets and still the "performance"
is good. it's advisable that don't leave your racket in the stringer..if you can wait, please watch the stringer how he does his work. the stringer is not to blame, it's
    the composition of the racket.

after he's done with my rackets, i told him to use some "protection" the next time he string my rackets..and he did!

nice... thanks very much for your reply =)

what i did was i scratched off the paint at the spot, and was relieved to see that the inner core was still alright, and then i just applied some paint to patch up the spot with a silver marker pen xP
