Color of the sticker on the cork

    What, if any, does the green sticker wrapped around the cork (for feather shuttles) mean? I purchased a tube of cheaper import birds and they have a light blue band (however, their quality appears to be better than the same cheap imports with a green band). I hope this makes sense :)

    usually, green=slow blue=medium red=fast.
    it is just ment to show the speed of the shuttle

    Cause the sticker on Carlton shuttles is black in colour. :)

    that's what it used to be in the good old days. but most manufacturers don't follow those color coding anymore. instead, the speed is indicated by a speed rating on the tube.

    most of them being green is just historical. i have seen many red, blue, and also some decorative black/gold ones. all of them being similar speeds.

    I saw one type recently which shocked me.
    It as red in color and it wrote "Superman Special" !!

    Yup, the 'SUPERMAN' brand shuttles. It even had the authentic 'Superman S ' logo.

    The 2 of us wer like going ... 'Uh Duh ???? ... !!!! '
