effortless? my personal answer: hell no () as far as BC says the two are entirely different rackets...I own an ns8k. but never touched an sl70....difference: ns8k is headlight/even balanced sl70 is headyheavy ns8k is 3u or 2u sl70 is 5u (?) ns8k is long at 675mm sl70 is short at 665mm (right?) the ns8k is th elightest in my arsenal,,,and I don't like light stuff (apparantly) so there's not much help....People on the bc I know they have owned an sl70 are...well..Gollum was it?
NS8k is very head light. It's so light that if you have a weak arm like mine, your racket will bounce off the shuttle when you hit the shuttle. As you know, the shuttle is supposed to bounce off the racket and not the other way round. I held a brand new SL70 belonging to a fellow club member. It felt very heavy. I know it had the lightest frame in the world. But to me it was just too heavy. The guy who owned it used it for a session and never used it again. These rackets are a bit extreme. But I don't believe they are extreme in a good way, at least for me. So I wouldn't recommend them.
How about neither racket.... If you're looking for a Light, well-balanced, affordable racket, TRY GETTING A Kason Carvel U3 or U4! The racket is only 77g and around $50.00, you could get 4 rackets for the price of one Nanospeed 8000.
very good is also Trump nanopower 7500! Also you get 5 racquet for the price of one Yonex. Anybody how good are Black Knight?
because it's pretty darn head-heavy...and it's 665mm long...and Cooldoob is a fan of headlights (home-made )
I remember people who have tried to SL 70 saying that it felt heavier then many other 3u-4u even balance rackets. Black Knight rackets from what I've seen are fairly good quality though they do cost a bit, on par with Yonex around here. Another subsitute racket could be the Woven-6 (jerby/dink/somebody double check me on this) for headlight and Woven-8 for even balance.
the w6 is light a a feather, it's short, headlight, and a 4U...what more do you want? w8 is longer, heavier and headheavier than a w6...but more allrounded. note that the w6 felt incredibly solid for such a light thing...to my hands at least...
I personally like my nanospeed 9000 type x which is different from the 8000. The best thing to determine which is for you is to try them both out.
