Hello All: I'm building an outdoor badminton court for neighborhood play. The court is located between two very tall trees and the net will be strung 15 1/2 feet between them.

I had a depression of about 5 inches dug into the court and am now ready to lay a surface. But, I don't know what surface is preferable. Can anyone advise whether the surface should be:

    1. artificial grass
    2. rubber mulch
    3. top soil
    4. sand
    5. real grass (the area is shady)
    6. some other idea.

Can any one recommend a good outdoor net?

Thanks very much for your help.

compacted top soil would be great. as long as no one play on it after it has been rainy or when it's wet. that goes for any sureface you put on since it's out door.. grass is 2nd alternative. artificial grass is good too, but you gotta replace it some time when it's worn out (in a couple of years I guess)

What do you plan to do on a windy day? A breeze could really stuff you up!

    artificial grass

The best choice for you is artificial grass. If you find the benefit of synthetic grass on the internet, you will see that it has so many advantages.
