I was down at the badminton courts the other day and bumped into some guy called "Kwun". Anybody here heard of him?

He seemed a pretty cool type of chap espcially when he let me try try out his racquets. And there was the opportunity to try out some others.

    Hmm,
OK, 1st was MP77. Unfortunately strings a bit loose for me. Feel like 21-22lbs...All shots seem OK.
Smash, satisfactory until I try another racquet later. The racquet looks great though.

Iso900 ss. CN. First time I ever held an Iso 900 to hit a shuttle. Strings at around 24lbs. Wow, this feels great. Racquet and shuttle very responsive. Smash - yeah OK. Sounds a bit sharper than using the MP77

Ti10sp (long?short? I didn't notice). BGTi88. Err, this just rocks!! Every smash goes on like an explosion! It makes a better sound definately. Wether the smash power improved or not you'll have to ask Kwun but he can still return my smash.(
I never said I could smash hard anyway.

Oh yeah, if you ever play this Kwun character, make sure you wear the right shoes. I only had some sandles on and he kept playing tight net shots and clears to the back! Each time I smashed he would only play net shot replies. I thought court etiquette would dictate that he would do a high lift off my smash so I could smash again. After all, it was only a racquet try out!! Don't say you weren't warned.

Hehehe, thanks Kwun. Need to buy you a beer. BTW, the sandles are still intact.)

there are just way too many imposters.... :)

do you always go to the gym on sandals? it would be a waste if some pros walks and you lose the opportunity to play with them..

once Yang Yang and Zhao Jinhua walked into the gym that i played in! too bad that was before my time.

i am everywhere, yet i am no where.

i am everywhere, just like my rackets, sometimes US, sometimes HK; sometimes TH, sometimes TW; sometimes SP, sometimes CN (but never CP.... )

when i am on court, i am nowhere, always a second or two too slow to get to the birdie.

Smash like explosion ? It should really like explosion I guess, since I even can't return your smash with Cab 22 (our gap is too big, I must train harder to catch up :)).

Would you consider to switch away from your favorite Cab 22 after all these racquet tests ?

But I got 4 cab 22's! They really are durable racquets. If somebody wants to buy my cab22 2nd hand.............oh well keep on dreaming.
And I use those cab20's for singles.

Cheung, you must be in bad shape - it was Kwun himself who had the severe Alzheimers. :)

OK, so we meet up again.

This time manage to try out MP100 CN, Mystic Power 100 and 300.
MP100 CN. OKish Again nothing special as. a bit like MP77

Mystic Power100 - way too light at the head for me.

Mystic Power300 - Not bad at all. If compared to MP100 CN, probably just a little stiffer but Ricky reckons my smash was the best with this one.
