i am a right handed player. while receiving drops, the inner side of my left shoes slides alond the court floor. while playing i am unaware of this. but after playing i find that the inner side of my left shoe is badly worn. please suggest why this happens. is this a flaw in my technique? also, how can i prevent it?
It is not a flaw in your technique. It is actually evidence that this part of your technique is correct When you lunge forwards, you can use your left foot as a brake and stabiliser, turning it outwards. That's why it wears thin. After a while, I develop holes in that part of my shoes
yah that sounds perfectly normal when u r doing your front court footwork properly, so in another word don't worry bout it
tape It happens to almost everyone unless your footwork is like super fast. To ensure that your shoe have a hole there, try using a tape. Tape that area of the shoe , tats what i do.
