Hello, can anyone recommend a soft surface court in Bangkok area? I had bad back injury before and try to avoid playing in hard surface court. Any rubberized mat court would do just fine? I will be coming to Bangkok on July 10 - 14, 2006.

    Michael,
    Malaysia.

CC Badminton Court in Rama 2 Road has 18 rubber courts with several shower rooms. Sometimes Thai National Players play at this court too. :)

I prefer to play single but double is also fine. To play badminton is the mainthing. ;)
Normally I play at Satup Pradit Soi 57 they also have rubber courts.

Hi.. lamsiewmon, on Rama 2 Rd, you can go to CC Badminton court which is so close to your place. But if you wanna join and play with a team that play from 20.00 pm till very late night, you can join SATURN Badminton Club at Ta-Lin-Chan Area. You can play till 3 am. If you have interest, can email me... anek999@hotmail.com :)

    Hi lamsiewmon

I went to CC court only once for competition. It was a really good time. So, no information of the cost on both playing with the group/club, or having the court to yourself. However, it must be just right. Don't worry. No one would take advantage on you.

In case of joining the groups/clubs, you pay for 40-70 baths for the court fixed rate, and pay for cocks you and the other three for 10-15 bahts/cock.

You can get more and exact information for a court close to your accommodation, work, route trip by becoming a member of Thaibadminton.com. It's free, no hassle AT ALL, and lots of friendship, and FUN. Choose English mode, and you will know how to get around in the web site.

    : )

To lamsiewmon... You are right on the English version.

You are correct that the English version is not fully in English.

    Try this:
Log in to www.thaibadminton.com, and go to this URL: http://www.thaibadminton.com/main/modules/newbb_plus/viewforum.php?forum=9, then click New Topic -- the button on the right. Then say about yourself and ask around in English. It will be the topic for you.

My House and the club there 'Saturn' is a good choice in deed.
You should talk to anek999@hotmail.com who greeted your post.
    He must be nice.

You are talking of vans and 'to get there'
Are you thinking going to My House?
    If so, ask anek999@hotmail.com.

Going by taxi, would not cost you much. No traffic at such a time.

    As for the map...
    http://sites.google.com/site/badmintonthailand/
The My House you want is My House 1.
There you can have GPS coordinate which you can put it when you are at maps.google.com > direction...

If you drive and know how to use Google Maps, you will have the path/route to the court.

It happens that I want to join Saturn this Sat!!!

    Good luck....
