I would imagine that they are better for single.....cos as you know, singles is faster cos all the shot returning is reliant on you. Therefore, you will need faster food work, faster shot making and need something that requires less energy to swing so you dont tire out as easily.

I always thought that doubles is a faster game than singles....... seeing that the shuttle will be hit almost as soon as it crosses the net with players on both sides of the court......

well in actual fact, doubles IS faster...but i mean, in singles, its faster in the perspective of the player because all the shots must be returned by you and only you.
whereas in doubles, u have another person to help out with the returns.
singles=1 person covering the whole area of the court.
means u gotta run more as well.

i also agree that double is a faster game and shaun's right that the player has to be faster in singles but we ARE talking about a faster racket not person here. so i think 'speed rackets' will be better suited for doubles cos faster reactions will be needed instead of better agility in singles. single is only faster for teh person not necessarily for teh racket

Does "faster food work" mean eating a power bar in one bite?

    ;)
