Yes, I think Korea is definitely looking forward to great stuff from him in the future. He turns 18 in September! Already he is the national champion in men's doubles. In the Korean nationals, he beat former Olympians and also his present partner, Jung Jae-sung, who entered that tournament briefly re-united with his ex-partner, Lee Jae-jin. He is world junior champion but has also recently won a 3* tournament(German Open) and reached the finals of a 5* event(Chinese Taipei Open). This is an information page. If you can't read Korean you at least get his name in Chinese, his age, and another photo. Babelfish is not totally useless for this kind of page, even though some translations are pretty hilarious (ie. junior badminton and Kang Hae-won become it gives U badminton and it is strong the unit, respectively)

Well, it just says he was born on September 11th, 1988. He is in his third year at Hwasun Technical High School in Jeollanam-do. He's been on the national team since 2003. I don't know much more than that.
