Ok...So Today I Went To A Shop In Po Lam, Hong Kong And I Saw A 2 Rows Of Badminton Rackets, So I Checked It Out. I Then Saw Yonex Muscle Power 21, 22, 23 And 25. (There Were Other Rackets There Too But I forgot Their Names). They Were Pretty Cheap eg. 210 HK And Above. So I was Wondering..... If These Rackets Are Real Or Fake.

O Yeah, If You Want To Know The Store Name, It's Gigasports.
Please Reply Fast, Cuz I'm Not Going To Be In Hong Kong Soon. :D

(The Colours On The Rackets Look So AWESOME. So Tempting To Buy One) :D

yeah they are probably real. There are a lot of muscle powers that are available to other parts of the world that we don't get in North America, or rather those that we don't of. It's kind of reciprocated in ways of cars. For example, in asia, GM only introduced Buick and Cadillac to China. But here in Canada, we have Chevy, Saturn, .. stc.

There are MP21 avaliable in North America.. We still have quite a few MP racquets in North America, but I am sure I haven't seen 100 for a while. Surely, I think it's discontinued in NA.

    LuckyBoy,

GigaSport is a major sport retailing chain store in HK and they carry Yonex and Wilson range of racket. I donot think they dare to carry fake rackets in their products.

The price range you quoted is quite common for the lower range of Yonex rackets, esp. if they have some promotion on. These range are made in Taiwan (I believe it is stated at the bottom cap), up to MP30. The next number I recalled (stand to be corrected) is MP40/44 onwards is made in Japan, where you see a bigger difference in the price.

    Happy shopping.

The threadstarter seems to be excited because it is (i) Muscle Power and (ii) it's cheap, but in reality, Yonex low end racquets have always been in that price range, it's just that they were never labelled as "muscle power"

MP23's price is pretty much well established and pretty low. No surprise that MP22 and 21 are even cheaper (and they must be cheaper by a sufficient amount, otherwise no product differentiation)

Now that Muscle power is an 'older line' replaced by Armortech/Nanospeed, Yonex can afford to 'dilute' the muscle power line with low end models like 21 and 22 and repaint 23 into 623. I guess their low end Carbonex production line has simply shifted to producing low end Musclepower.

As long as the racquet is decent and cheap. Good enough for badminton.

Why do you need to know the string if you're planning on upgrading the strings? i'm sure whatever string you buy will be better than the lower end OEM strings.
