Fake SHB99 LE?

I think the one you're refering to is called SB99 LE. i bought that shoe about a month or 2 ago and thought it was a fake when i examined it closely ( i didnt notice the missing H in the SHB word when i bought ut) then i contacted yonex to ask whether they produce a shoe like that and they said yes. Its cheaper because it doesnt have power cushion, lateral claw ....etc.

 

I am a bit confused that why Yonex introduced all the lower end models which carries the similar color / modle # as the higher end ones. It confuses the customers, and give good chance for certain sellers who have "other intention" to play dirty tricks.

To me, it's like Yonex putting it's own reputation on the line.

 

i think yonex is playing a balancing act. Like rackets, yonex have some low end stuffs for specfic regions to compete with the clones and fakes. Like they say, if u can't beat them (them fakes), join them Those kind of buyers care about prices and looks anyway, performance is like... what's that??

 

just went to Pertama complex Kuala Lumpur today. believe the model is actually named 'SB 99' and its available in 4 colors: white/red, white/blue, red/silver and ORANGE/SILVER (very ugly looking imho)

 

Singapore now also got selling SB99. 60 dollar only. They also do advertisement on newspaper.

 

SB99...they're trying to trick ppl!!! They should change the name more so it's more noticable.
