Jet lag or nervousness??..
..could be true...but, could be a case of nervous jitters also; you know, playing against the current MD World Champions..hehe

Are they joining or not?
Lili Wang is a Chinese player who married an Indonesian player, Tek Ming. They're currently based in the Philippines.

thanks for the infos bratinella...wow, surprised to see how fast this inquiry got around(less than hr.), let alone from someone in Philippines..

Honestly, I don't know if they're still travelling or not. Last I heard, is that they're having problems with their visas.

I was expecting to see Tony and Minarti pairing up and put up a nice exhibition for the L.A./SoCal folks..
..Now, it seems like, if that is the current case, we won't be able to see them in action..Hopefully they'll make it here in time..

Its hard to get a US Visa if you are a Philippino. Too much hassle. But i don't think Lili and Tek Ming will have any problem.

If I see them again at The Asuncion Badminton Center this week, it means they really have a big problem.
It means Tony will not have a mixed pair

Bad news...I guess, no Minarti this time..
..akh...Minarti didn't make it here-what a downer...Just saw the draw and noticed Tony and Minarti have lost to a WO...what a bummer!!

I guess i have to change my early prediction for the XD winner to be Halim & Angie...but who knows, still some pretty good pairs out there..

...
so, stay tune...or if any other local BC members(ie. Viper2005, harimau or other local OCBC members) who has gone to see, perhaps they can share with us some early pics or reviews??..

seems like there are quite a few siblings competing in the doubles events. well, i'm assuming they're siblings just from their last names. i guess this is common in smaller tournaments ...

I remember the Yeh sisters were really active 2-3 years ago, but seems not into too much action lately (according to their seeds)? Correct me if I am wrong... Anyone has their recent pics, prefer in action.

Yep, they are less active now. They used to come to SGVBC and train with Alex every other week. I haven't seen them in a long time now. Hope they do well though.
