I just got a Yonex ISOMETRIC 900 for stringing. I wonder if anyone out there heard of this racquet. It has the same shape as iso800 but stiffer. It is multi colored of black, purple, green, and silver. The name isometric 900 and yy Yonex logo is in magenta color. The frame is of ACM Boron Graphite. The handle bottom plastic cap is green with JAPAN. It has yonex hologram sticker but no serial number.
and its not a swing power iso900 thats for certain. no swing powers are acm boron graphite.....this sounds like one crazy racquet heh. even I HAVENT HEARD OF IT! iso900....its not even on the japan website!

dont look like a fake to me. it is definitely not an iso swing power 900 because the new iso900 are long and all come in dark navy blue color. i will ask this guy where he got it from.
i Have seen rackets in malaysia which just looks like an Cab 21 or 20 and the only difference would be a an extra X in yonex. Probably he just bought a special edition! Does this have the CN, Tw thing on it. I am surprised.
IT MIGHT BE AN OLD ISO900 I am just guessing.......lol.......IT might be a racquet after the Boron 2 was introduced......lol
Re: IT MIGHT BE AN OLD ISO900 no, dont think so. this guy said he bot it from malaysia. ths iso900 is very similar to iso800 except it feel like a 3U and stiffer than a iso800
Cooler Cooler, You might have been fooled because in the black market, people make fake Yonex rackets you most likely have a fake. Those people make the fake Yonex logo stickers too. There is no REGULAR 900, only Long. I have had 2 900 rackets and they were long, no regular. I also talked to a badminton rep, who has connections with Yonex and he said there is no such thing as regular, unless it's a fake. I now also own two Ti Swing Power rackets which are long too. Matt
Re: Cooler Matt, thanks for your view. Yes, there is a chance of the short iso900 to be a fake (no weight and no grip size label on handle). The racket felt lighter than 2U and i know i havent came across a 3U iso800 before. It was the trademark ACM Boron, hologram yonex sticker and real looking green YY end cap with japan on it too that threw me off.
Re: Cooler heh =) Well so far there is no ACM Boron on any of Yonex's rackets =). The badminton rep did tell me that the couterfit rackets are getting better becuase those black market people are making real-like serial numbers. Also on the butt-cap(green cap as you refer to as) on the bottom of the handle cna be made more than one piece (counterfit) while the real ones, the cap is only 1 piece. Also the logo is not consistant too. (the YYs)
Re: Cooler there was no serial number on this short iso900 but the end cap does look like moled in 2 pieces. I think u gave me enough hints to convince me it is a fake. Now i'm doubting my comment made about Shaun's cab23. Now that could be a fake too. (However, a good stringer should not warp a racket, fake or no fake racket)
Re: Cooler i believe the cab23 was fake...the butt cap was 3 peices...or more. see, there is the green part....and then the yonex logo which is white....all the parts of the logo(the circles, triangles), were seperate peices. also, the fonts wern't clear....i returned my cab and will get a real cab23....or iso750.
Re: Cooler Well well, i have under estimated the craftiness and determination of counterfeiter. It goes to show how much profit margin yonex make on each their rackets. Making clone or fake is not simple as some people make it to be. All that painstaking duplication of paint and graphic is probably more technicaly difficult than making the molding the racket itself. Also, i'm beginning to even believe that hologram sticker and end cap could be smuggle out of yonex factories.
Clarification Hello, Just to clarify, I am actaully referring to the butt-cap itself, that can be made more than once piece and then put together to make it look like it is one. The way you can find out is to actaully take the cap off and look at it. You can see by just looking at the top of it but you have to look at the underside. The white parts, triagle, letters circles, are actaully molded on to the buttcap and feel seperate (real ones). The fake ones are molded too but, if you touch the white parts, the height of the white parts are not consistantly the same as the one ones which the real ones are consistant in height. That is one way of determining the fakes. Another is to look at the triagles and cirlces themselves to make up the YY symbol. If it they do not quite look the same, that is a fake. About the paint job, well that one is sort of obvious becuase the fake ones look similar to the real ones but the tone of paint looks a bit "off" from the real ones. Shaun, About the fonts, were they blury, inconsistant from the letters? That must b ea fake too.
Re: Clarification the fonts were blurry and inconsistant yes. and um....as for the butt cap, even the real butt caps were more than one peice? see, the one on my old cab23, there was a peice of the butt cap sticking out(the triangle part of the YY logo). so that was really evident that it was more than one peice. even the words "japan" was a separate mould. but the color in the butt cap was inconsistant...slightly. also, my cab23 was NOT an SP model, and yet it had the PBSI logo and the yonex hologram.....odd?
