I have a friend who is staying in Brisbane for a couple of months, and maybe interested in playing socially during his stay. He is of intermediate standard (Not a beginner, but with not a great deal of formal training/developed techniques) He says he is staying close to QUT and Griffith universities, in the Southbank or wooloongabba areas. Hope there are some BFers there who fancy playing with him a bit.
QUT uni, as far as I know not much people play there. Griffith Uni Southbank Campus, no court there either. There is a Griffith Uni Badminton Club in Mount Gravatt campus where I play twice weekly. If ur friend drives. It takes less than 15 minutes to get there vis free way. Public transport from Southbank to this campus is handy. If your friend is interested.
