I recently bought an MP-99 at E78 in HK. The country code says IP but there isn't an SP on the shaft. Has anyone ever had this event encounter them b4?

I have never encounter that before. All my IP rackets have SP in the shaft.

E-78 is a reputable store in Hong Kong and I purchased many stuffs from there, I don't think this store will sell fake stuff.

Is it possible to post some pictures for reference??

Maybe they missed the SP on the shaft before they engraved the IP. It happens sometimes. I've seen it. But it would be good if there will be picture, so at least we can prove its authenticity.

believe your genuine mp99 is from one of the latest batches (which come with 2 hologram stickers?). Either Yonex decided to remove the 'SP' from the shaft or maybe its a mistake and you're holding onto a rare collector's item :)

I have the same question when shopping in Hong Kong, many shops with good reputation are selling this MP99 (not SP, with IP country code).

But I found some other shops in HK do have MP99-SP w/ Sunrise sticker, but the price is a little bit higher.

Can we ask Yonex to clarify if they are real?
