Hi, I mean after like 2 hours of practice or game, then my hands will be wet. What grip do you use the most to get the best grip? Do you use powder even if you use plastic grips? Cuz I can't use towel grip as it will slip no matter wet or dry. Thanks
well ive always been told that twoel grips are the best grips to use in asia. here in aus we use the rubber grips. theres a rubber grip made by yonex that is like extra sticky, its like sticky grap or something.
I also use towel grid. my fav! And I also sweat a lot like a pig anyway, to prevent my grip easily get wet, I m wearing wristband, so at least sweat coming from my arm won't be going down to my hand grip so easily
get a second racket. identical grip/string/weight..everything. afetr 1 hour youyr grip is soaked, change to the second racket. by the time that's soaked switched to the (reasonably dry) first racket. or use towelgrips and grip powder: insta-dry I do both tricks
actually i already use two rackets. and i also wear wristband. Sometimes i am not confidence to make a hard hit as i don't want to kill my opponent if my racket slips out of my hand. Is that Yonex grip called the Yonex Super Grip? I have used that before, but this is not as sticky as the one i am using. The one I am using is a no brand grip and cheap. Are there any spray that can make the grip more sticky or less sweat?
I do. I don't care about the original, although I keep them if I feel my current size need to be rezise. the sticky yonex overgrip most likely is a supergrap. useless imo, it's done after 4-5 session. if u can find it, try a dunlop hydramax. the best I've ever used so far...even beat the karakal point75 just by a little bit. not much. the dunlop in my town is much cheaper.
try using powder (yonex?, meuller, etc). i noticed pros used them. it works on rubber & towel grips. downside is it ruins your grip faster...rubber grips get kinda dark, rough & sticky while towel grips get hard & rough after 1 game day.
if u have wet hands dont use yonex because those grips arent so good when they get wet. go check out that guide on grips that someone made i forgot who...
I do. My hands are small, which only G5 might fit. However, in US, we only have G4 available. Therefore, I need to remove the original grip, then put 2 layers of overgrips on, to reduce the size a bit.
I use some Ti...or something from Yonex, sorry i dont know the name clearly. But IMO, best prevention of wet grip = wristband. I sweat alot and since i do alot of sports a wristband is a must have unless i want my racket flying. It stops the sweat from the forearm sliding to your palms GREATLY (which is the source of most of the wettening).
My perfect grip is G5 + Prince DuraTac replacement grip, just removed the original one. The only problem is that both of my rackets were G3 so I had to sand them down to G5 size. But I don't have sweaty palm.
LazyBuddy and wlachan, how big is your hand by length? Mine is 18cm from middle finger to wrist. Ya, i am a chinese 172cm tall. I use G4. Just wonder if i should change to G5
Try using spiral grips or grips with holes it only helps a bit try putting grip powder on your hand.. use wrist band
Mine is close to 19cm and I am about 175cm tall. Pretty close to you. I think if you are going to wrap it with something thick, G5 is good. Otherwise, G4 should do for most people. G5 + Prince DuraTac replacement grip (not overgrip) will end up like the factory G4 size grip because Prince DuraTac replacement grip is quite a bit thicker than Yonex grip.
