umm... i posted this question earlier but i can't seem to locate the thread... ..so... here's my question again...(if anyone could please help a desperate player who's been waiting a long time to play badminton again!)...can anyone suggest a place to purchace strings (preferably BG80/next best thing) in hamilton? If not then online or on ebay....that don't sell fake strings?? Anyone know where i could get my racket strung cheap in hamilton? Thanks for any replies!
Location and Cost 1) Where do you live now? 2) Do you have your own machine? 3) How much can you spend? There are BF member all over US cities. If we can get more info, people can point you to good place and you might make some friends too. Good luck
Hamilton - I'm guessing near Toronto, Ontario Unfortunately I can't suggest any places to buy string or a restringing service.
If you are looking for a stringer, ask around you local club / pro shop, and get a reputable one. Usually, the stringers carry various of strings, and you can simple purchase from them, then add the labor charge when you bring in your rackets. If you want a bulk order of strings only, you better off order it online. However, with the possible add-on duty and shipping charges, not sure if that still a better deal than purchase through local resources.
Thanks for all of the replies so far.I live in Hamilton (near Toronto) i still can't find any place that has any strings other than BG 65!! I hate BG65 because it loses tension fast...oh well...if anyone knows where hamilton is please help me!! the only place that i can get my racket strung from takes $22 just for labour and is selling BG65 for 15.99...these prices stink...
Im in Mississauga, but I recommend going down to Waterloo, there is a guy there (Andrew Ma) who does my stringing, plus i'm sure he can sell you strings as well. If that still isnt convenient for you, then just goto SportChek (despite there expensive prices). You can also order strings online from http://www.hiquasports.com/badminton/strings.htm I got strings for them, shipping is cheap also.
1. Never go to big sport chain stores for badminton re-string. Usually, their stringers have no idea about badminton rackets, which usually result into poor job quality and high risk in racket damage. 2. Also consider www.mybadmintonstore.com. I think they are a reputable online shop (based on feedback from members) and the price is competitive.
you can try to go at first markham near richmond hill north of toronto ,YO's they have a lot of badminton goods, string ,.... MING
Thanks alot for your help! Thanks for all of the advice...do any of you know if hi-qua or mybadintonstore accept paypal??? that would make things alot easier for me...
