How durable exactly is bg85? I play with nylon shuttles cos they dont break as fast as feathers....
I have it strung on my new ti7 23x25lb...and was wondering if it was a durable string compared to things like bg66, bg68ti etc.
I used to use bg70, but i wanted to try out bg85 since a lot of you like it so much...

plastic? i'd say stick with bg70. bg85 isn't durable. and the advantage you get, which is the control and touch of the string, will not be as much with plastic shuttles.

i have used bg68ti, and it seems to be more durable. the coating doesn't tear as easily as bg85.

bg66. well. it is not durable, doesn't matter what birdie you use..

I dunno, when do you consider a string durable??? Because mine has been strung 4 abt 5 months now. I dun usually play with that racquet, prefer my new racquet:D, but my team-mate usually borrows it from me. Don't notice a change.

Shaun, if you want a durable and decent performance string, go with the bg65. it will not break. i have a friend who has one, it is all frayed and everything, and still, that thing just refuses to break.

to give u an idea, i have bg85 strung on my ti7 23x25 lbs....played with it on 2 occasions, on the second occasion, it broke on me.....the strings survived a total of 2 hours or something like that.....
i didnt even miss hit or anything....just snapped...mind you, i use nylon birds

I use feather shuttles and find BG85 isn't very durable. I keep rotating my racquets and find they still need restringing every couple of months.

Actually, I myself was only wondering a couple of days ago how BG85 would last with plastic shuttles

However, when I used BG65, it lasts long, long time (well at least 3 months and with plastics)

The BG 68ti isn't too bad if you don't trust the BG-85 in durability.
