WMC did break the great wall of China. She beat Chen Li today. She said before that after learning some tips and tricks from former CHN player Zhou Mi, she's ready to play CHN players and win. Now today, she got her win. :D

It's a good thing, if the "power" can be distributed more evenly, especially in women events. However, hope this won't lead into the same chaos as Yangyang's case in earlier 90's. I remember after Yangyang helped MAS to win against his former teammates (by identifing strength/weakness?) the CHN team was really pissed off. :(

    Too early to celebrate

Miew Choo defeated relatively unknown Chinese player in round 1, if Miew Choo can defeat her next opponent Xie Xingfang then only we can claim she crack the Great Wall. Of course, Zhou Mi will be black listed if that happen :D

    My Miew Choo

No wonder she had bloody foot as shown in the Korean Open :D Nevertheless, I always admire her fighting spirit, I think she should be a Korean, very un-typical Malaysian :crying:

"Breaking the great wall" is a bit exaggerated, isn't it? Just last week, she failed to break Zhu Lin who in turn lost to Lu Lan. However, I admire her fighting spirit, and if she can't break the great wall, at least topple a few stones.

You are absolutely right. She is a true fighter.Few malaysian players fight like her.If our malaysian players have the discipline and fighting spirit of the Koreans,we would really be a force to be reckon with. But alas, the Malaysian players are too laidbackand contented with little victories. That is why, sometimes when you dont expect them to perfom, they do miracles. The moment they achieve some small success, they get big-headed.The dreaded term for the Malaysians 'inconsistency'comes to the mind. It's not that I like to criticize them but it's time for them to understand that they have to have professional attitude. This comes from the bottom of my heart and it also goes to my son,who is taking up badminton seriously. If you really want to succeed, you should be made of sterner stuff.

Both WMC and XXF is my favourite WS player. But more towards WMC. The female version battle of LCW vs LD, but not quite the same standards. XXF can be beaten though ;) !
