    Hello,

I am new to this Forum.

I just relocated to Irvine, California USA. I used to be a regular player in Hong Kong. But in Irvine, do not know where to play :crying:. Eager to find out to get into the action again soon....

    Cheers,
    Henry

    welcome aboard Henry...
here's a link to where you can play in the Irvine/Orange Country area:
    http://www.scbabadminton.org/
once there, click on the Places to Play(on the left side) and scroll down til you see Orange County. There should be 4 places there, with the Orange Country Badminton Club(OCBC) being the "elite". If you don't know, that's where the U.S. National Team training center is located(with Tony Gunawan, Halim Haryanto to name a couple as coaches). Or if you don't mind traveling further from Irvine, there are other places/clubs also, with the SGVBC in the El Monte being arguably the most "popular" club in the Southern California/Los Angeles region.
Good luck and hope you'll enjoy your stay in this forum-

sure, no problem henrys...Btw, if you're interested and willing to drive all the way up to SGVBC(San Gabriel Valley Badminton Club) in El Monte, hehe, you can meet with another Badminton Central member under the screen name, DinkAlot. He's a very nice guy and he's willing to partner up/play with you..Just PM(msg) him, and i'm sure he'll be available to play most days of the week..;)

Well, there's the UCI (University of California, Irvine) Gym and IVC (Irvine Valley College) Gym. I haven't played at IVC for almost a year now so I don't know if they are still playing on Thursday & Sunday nights. UCI club members play Thursday nights & Saturday mornings.
