    Watched a documentary on the construction of the world tallest building on discovery channel last night. Maybe Lily can use it as backdrop for her pics.

    Lily can also put in my resume for window cleaner job there , I will never be out of job, by the time I finished with the last window I have to start cleaning all over again.

    Hi smashed_1,

    Thank you for your pics from the Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays.

    You know something... I just could not catch up with you guys@ccc travelling all around the world.

    We are now awaiting LilyC's pics from Taiwan... perhaps, the Taipei 101 Building as suggested by yschin.

    And we are also awaiting Chiranthi's pics from Sri Lanka.

    Cheers... chris@ccc

    Default Friendly Match on Fri 24-Nov-2006, Wesley Vs CCC, postponed

    Hi members@ccc,

    Just got home from supper@ccc with DoublesPlease and helmut, after our Wednesday CATS@Waverley, and I found this mail.

    ====== start mail ======
    From: John Weisheit
    To: chris@ccc
    Date: 22-Nov-2006 19:50
    Subject: Friday night Wesley v CCC

    Chris,

    Sorry for this late notice, however I have been unable to get even close to the 8 players for Friday night. We will have to postpone the 'challenge' to another night.

    Steven was back on Monday night for social, however has another engagement on Friday night. Cliff is working and Jack pulled out due to his recovering from a fall through plastic roofing a couple of weeks ago. Several of the other possible players have not been at Monday social for the past couple of weeks.

    Even today One of my hamstrings feels very tight so I am reluctant to do any damage at this stage of the season.

    Sincerest apology for this late withdrawal/postponement.

    Regards

    John Weisheit
    ====== end mail ======

    And, this is my reply......

    ====== start reply ======
    Hi John,

    Sorry that Wesley is unable to play our Return Friendly Match on Friday 24-Nov-2006. And so sorry that Jack and you are having injuries as well.

    Just let us know when Wesley is ready again...... and we will organise it for another night.

    Cheers... chris@ccc

    BTW, Captain hkhung is organising another Friendly Match, Marissa's Team Vs CCC, on Friday 1-Dec-2006.

    And I suggested to Captain hkhung that our CCC Team could be made up from our CCC Members who are in the lower 75-percentile of our CCC Handicapped Competition.

    The members to be involved are listed below;
    -6 Andrew-W
    -6 David-Z
    -6 Kee-F
    0 Haifeng-W
    0 Monica-H
    0 Yih Sheng-C
    +2 Julian-H
    +2 Ken-H
    +4 Laurie-C
    +6 Lily-C
    +8 Helmut-H
    +8 Jack-Y
    +8 Lisa-C
    +8 Llewellyn-H
    +8 Mei-W
    +8 Ned-D
    +8 Sinvay-T

    So, Captain hkhung...... Please inform us when you get more info from Marissa.

    Cheers... chris@ccc

    Hi LilyC

    Yeah... we better enjoy Taipei 101 Building's current standing before our CCC member, David-Z, claims his Shanghai Building to be the tallest in the world.

    Cheers... chris@ccc

    So, Captain hkhung...... Please inform us when you get more info from Marissa.

    I would hand over the team sheet when i see her on sunday.

    Also, i suggest we set the deadline of confirmation for participation on unless we do not get enough people.

    Chris, i wonder what if the following scenario happens

    - out of the list i would ask one by one of their interest on friday. But what if more than 8 people wants to participate.

    Should i stop asking people once it reach 8? Should i take people basing on their standard?

    What do you think i should do?

    Default Suggestions @suppertime on Friday 24-Nov-2006

    Hi hkhung,

    You have asked some good questions there.

    We should discuss more about your questions in this thread/forum, or if we are lazy to type...... we should discuss them @suppertime, or we do not want to go for supper...... we should discuss them at our CCC session time.

    My idea of a Friendly Match is to have a final score of 8:8, 10:10, etc, etc... Remember, I was a bit unhappy that David-Z was selected to play against Highvale, instead of Jack-Y. I thought, with Jack-Y, we could get a 8:8 final score.

    But don't worry too much about what I have said...... it is easier to criticise than to organise. And it is easier to have a postmortem than to have a forecast.

    Because Marissa's session is held at the same time as our CCC@MSAC, I have not been there to know the strength of their group.

    In fact, my suggestion that our CCC Team(to play Marissa's Group) could be made up from our CCC Members who are in the lower 75-percentile of our CCC Handicapped Competition...... is based on the information that I gathered from you.

    Perhaps @suppertime on Friday 24-Nov-2006, more suggestions would/could be put forward.

    Cheers... chris@ccc

    Hi hkhung and members@ccc,

    When I reread Post#297, I realised that what I typed could be misunderstood.

    When I quoted the above, "We should discuss more about your(hkhung) questions in this thread/forum, or if we are lazy to type...... we should discuss them @suppertime, or we do not want to go for supper...... we should discuss them at our CCC session time. ", I was directing it to all members@ccc.

    The "We" does not stand for "hkhung and chris@ccc".

    All members@ccc should know that hkhung needs help to organise his team.

    Cheers... chris@ccc

    Default Friday night, 24-Nov-2006, is our CCC Session#32, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    Hi everyone@ccc,

    Friday night, 24-Nov-2006, is our CCC Session#32, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    Wesley has postponed playing the Return Friendly Match.
    We are still welcoming friends of yours or anyone new to join us in our Social Session.

    Send me an email to ask me for a CCC Membership Form.
    My email address is chris@cccbadminton.com

    Players are to print out your Membership Form and to fill in your details before you attend.
    Players without printer can fill in our printed forms when you arrive. Just ask Llewellyn at the reception desk.

    As usual, I will be out coaching on Friday so I won't be replying mails.
    But you can get me on my mobile phone = 0419-542-037.

    CCC Handicapped Competition: Participants are asked to;
    1. Organise yourself with a Doubles Partner earlier before the night.
    2. Arrive to inform us of your Doubles Partnership, so that our competition boards can set up earlier.
    3. Note: When the attendance is low, Singles Competition will be played instead.
    4. The Selecting Team per MAGNETIC BOARD is to draw empty boxes on the SCORE BOARD.
    5. The Winning Team of the Match is to update the empty boxes with the new Handicap Points.

    Don't forget: We are going for Supper(wine-and-dine) at Kingsways, Glen Waverley, after our session.
    May more ideas be suggested @SUPPERTIME.

    And hkhung requires inputs/suggestions to form his team to play our Friendly Match against Marissa' Group.

    Our Wednesday CATS & B-Grade Social was held on 22-Nov-2006. You can read about it (POST#116) in this link= http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35687

    Cheers... chris@ccc
