What is the scope ? Does anyone know of any good players/team playing this year ? I will probably go and watch it. Any predictions ?
Winners Curtin university from WA will clean up the competition. 8 teams. Dont know what the NSW teams will be like but unless they bring some very good players it wont even be close. I am playing for Adelaide Uni, anyone else competing?
curtin sux!! they're not that good!! i dont think curtin will win.... who have they got? historys against them rite?? ........
I am sure there are heaps of GOOD players here and there....... !! You just never know ! I won't bet on Curtin WA 100% cause you just never know since there could be good players here and there from all over the world as international students...... or even good players and local talents from Australia.
yeah u might be right there... but who knows..... australia has had a lot of imports recently... u could be facing a ex state player in one of the aussie teams u never know!! but i reckon its an open event.... too hard to predict this yr i think! man i wonder if that elliot guy is playing.... i seen him play before... man that boi got talent... i mean he is the closest thing to being asian.. especially wen he goes "sah!" :S ... LMAO....HAHAHA
Sorry Nismo, I beg to differ....... That kid you talking about has heaps of talent !! and I am talking HEAPS ! BUT The talent I am refering to, is his "Sah" talent......... ! and apart from that, I have no comment.... ! lolz Cheers
Go Curtin !!! Want a preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbt5MA6hUt8 They play like that in normal games. Imagine if they play for University games.
Why Curtin will win uni games Curtin team will be too good. Featuring Guy Gibson who has been senior aussie squad and I think picked for thomas cup team before, Tiger Chen (ailings kid) and his doubles partner ephraim. I think all those 3 have played for aussie before. I know tiger and his mixed partner beat the malaysian no1 junior pair a while back in the youth commonwealth games. Will be miles too strong for the opposition. Just my two cents...
Interesting @! So you all pretty much think that Curtin will win ? It will be interesting to watch these players play. How many players are there on a team ? Unless the team only consists of 3 players, I am sure the rest of the team does make a difference.
OoooooOOoo ... ! I know a buddy of mine who is studying in Western Australia at the moment. I am not too sure which university he is in. I was coached by him and he is probably one of the most entertaining doubles player to watch. Whenever he and his doubles partner (ex chinese Jr champ or national squad and many times Canadian National Champ) plays in any tournaments here (Canada), they usually have a good crowd watching. It is simply amazing to watch them play because of their style, power and speed. Hopefully Jazz is playing and best of luck to my ex-coach and buddy (although I hated his painful multi-shuttle drills). Timmy
Format is 3 singles 2 doubles. So those 3 i listed from curtin will just need one more bloke to play second doubles and that is it. The only team coming over from wa is the curtin team so this fella from canada would have to be in this team... if he is!!!!! big trouble for everyone else! Having said that i am sure there will be quite afew very good student players coming out of nsw... happens every uni games!
If ur talkin about Jasmain yeah he's playing plus one more Indonesian player, making it 5 in the team going over . . . Go Curtin!
And Curtin University is downed by Melbourne University in a thrilling last match.. Andy_S: so you're the tall caucasian with blonde hair? I just remember an AU player with a surname starting with S, haha.. (btw, what happened to Mikey and that small lefty asian, your doubles partner for SA Qualifers)
Thats not me mate... thats Nikita Simakov... he played qualifiers. I am tall but darker haired and playing no1 for Adel. Cheers, andy
Yeah.. I realised when I was watching you this morning (I noticed the MP99 - it was stated in your profile)
