So if the top 4 seeded players make it through the semifinals, then Peter Gade will face Lee Chong Wei? I think that's better for him since he has a tough time playing Lin Dan or Chen Jin. Although Lee Choong Wei is better than these two Chinese players in some aspects, Peter Gade is able to deal with Lee Choong Wei's style.

    No!

The final 4 draw is like the following:

    Lee CW
    Chen J
    Peter Gade
    Lin Dan

So Peter Gade has to face Lin Dan. I think that's a pretty good for him. Gade should be more confident to fight Lin Dan rather than Chen Jin.

Lee CW should be happy too for facing Chen J instead of Lin Dan or Gade. In most recent HKO, Lee beat Chen J but lost to Lin Dan, so he should be happy then.

On the other hand, both Lin Dan and Chen Jin will not be happy based on the same above reason.

    is that strictly true?
i thought the 3-4th seeds get randomly put in either half.

Taufik doesnt bother about Rankings. He knows he can beat anyone if he want to.. so why worry.

Yep, I've not seen him play seriously for a long long long time. It would be funny if he beat the majority of the top 4 seeds and won the WC again o.o

Taufik will "screw up" the top seeded players:D ....

Taufik is a blessing in disguise for the top seeds if he is not in their part of the draw. If TH is in the same part of LCW's, the LD will be very happy and the other way round:) ...WHAT A VERY, VERY INTERESTING and THRILLING "SHOWDOWN"!!!!!

WC is about the test of mental strength!! :)

A bit off topic..My take on this..

..ok, i know we are in the MS ranking thread, not in the predicting who will win etc. thread, but since others are mentioning who will end up where, i will slip in and would almost "guarantee" that Taufik will not win the WC this yr. because of 1 simple reason:he's mind is not in it. Let it be from his recent foul-up(in HK Open), or him being a newlywed or he's won the title already, but i doubt his mind is in it 100%. Last yr. he was on a roll after winning the S'pore Open and i can see his mindset was there, just before the WC. This yr, other than his home-tournament(IO), which he won, he basically hasn't done anything much..However, i will be quite surprised if Taufik wins it again.. :p

TH at rank 31st,seems he will face one of top 4 MS's WR. I think it's quite disadvantage situation for LCW or LD/CJ or PG if they meet the reigning champion in preliminary rounds.Undoubtedly,TH is a huge hurdle for them to advance into next round although TH's performance is not "IN" recently but certainly the aura of WC arena is differently comparing another bdm individual event. For TH to meet one of them, actually nothing to lose for him because his position NOW is underdog to retain the title (many bdm fans to underestimate him 'coz his lower rank). Let see the drawing tomorrow who will meet TH at early show??The top 4 hold their breath and nervous to know...
