A basic guide to strokes etc on a Japanese site. I posted this on the older forum, but have put it into links to make access easier. Enjoy!! Basic grip - Eastern grip Footwork - examples of footwork to the back and forehand corners Clear Cut/Slice Drive Receive ( probably more useful for doubles ) Net - for some reason only the backhand stroke Smash - complete with jump smash Side shot - if under pressure to get shots back from the back High Backhand Backhand Service and Doubles receive Split step
Nope, your not alone Nanashi. I'm also seeing japanese and pictures. But there is some english on the menu bar. Oh yeah, thanks for the links Steplantis. Keep the links coming!
ok good.... it's too bad my IE won't d/l the japanese font though... i won't get to practise my japanese....
Sorry I forgot to mention that the site was in Japanese - that`s why I posted direct links instead of just leaving you to get through the menu. I`m not sure if it would count as an article - more pics than words. I`m working on translating another article from the Japanese Badminton mag so I`ll try and get it finished soon and posted up.
This is kinda off topic but how do you assign links to names like u did, when u click the description it takes u to the page, i know how to do links and all that but my html knowledge is limited (not for much longer i hope as i wanna learn it). Step could u tell me here or priv msg me with how u did it, that would be great mate.
I`ll send you a private msg. Also the next article I`m translating is about the smash - how to play it well and also including the jump smash.
