Now what is the most powerful racket ever! With no consideration to defence. All at 3U.

    the contenders:

    cab 22
    cab 20 power
    cab 30ms
    ti-10 (old)
    high end mp's (e.g mp99)
    high end armortec's (e.g at800 off)
    NS series

Haven't we had one of these post already? Anyways, what's your defination of powerful? As in smashing, or quick offensive play, or the racket that can just clear pass the next court?

My vote goes for Woven-8 or woven-11.

it would have to be a combination of the first 2. Just a racket which is more powerful for all shots than its counter part. Especially smash. granted that the user's ability has a greater role to play than the racket, but i would particularily apprecite feedback from users who have used 2 or more of the 'powerful' rackets and can make a sound anecdotal choice

Well, if it is for raw power i would say woven 7 will have more power than 8, the other contender will no doubt be the old ti-10

Hmm, I really need to get a woven-7 to try that out. So far out of all the rackets I have ever tried, my woven-8 is the hardest hitting; maybe it's just finding that perfect niche in the middle.

i'm sure the woven 11 is supposed to be far more 'powerful' than the woven 8

    Just a quick one.....

I don't think that Cab 22 and Cab20 Power come in any 3U version....

but then.... i might be wrong.... just my thought....

    Best regards,
    Albert

Absolutely, there's no comparison, the 11 is far more powerful than the 8. However, this is assuming you can maximize (flex) the 11.

Most powerful 3U would probably be the 3U AT700 if it's anything like my 4U AT700, which is the most powerful 4U racket I've ever used.

If you're willing to go 2U, the Woven 11 is the most powerful racket I've ever tried.

I think most people would regard only smashing power when rating the most powerful racquet. I think this is unfortunate and not quite right. It would be more accurate to rate power on clears, attacking and defensive, smashes, cut smashes, and return of smashes.

I dont trust the yonex rankings, the newest racquets are always the most powerful for the first few months.

i didnt trying to say that. In fact, i wasn't trying to say anything because racket has no power. What is perceived as powerful to one can be not powerful to another player. I only show how yonex rate their CURRENT rackets.

    Agree, but I wouldn't say "I don't trust Yonex's rankings"; rather I would say, I use Yonex's rankings as a guideline. :)

Um...excuse the ignorance...but what's an NS7700? I've never heard of it before and it's on the chart...

We've had discussion in the past about 'powerful' racquets. Try searching for them.

It's on Yonex 2007 catalog. Our "insider" Ants has already got his hand to it and written a review in this forum. :D

Oh no, I didnt mean anything by it :) I was just saying that I personally don't take the Yonex charts to heart, and that it was what I thought of it. But if you feel offended, please accept my humblest apologies and I did not mean for it to come out that way :p
