Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 05-Feb-2012 (A Short Report)

We welcomed 2 new trainees;
(1) Jih Ying-T
(2) Theo-D
Hope that they have enjoyed training with us.

Siru (a surprise visit) and Gloria (new) arrived very late - They managed to play a few games in the last 30 minutes of our session.

At this CCC CATS, we worked on the How to play different shots to the same target area.

Some reminders;
* Lisa-L needs to hit the Overhead Clear harder with a flatter trajectory.
* Timothy-T needs to do more Flick-from-Net-to-Back Tram-Lines Drill.
* KeChong-K needs more follow-through in the Underarm Clear/Lift.
* Brendan-L's Dropshots is getting better.
* Yih Ying-T's Smash shall be worked on next week.
* Theo-D's Net-play shall be worked on next week.

Lunch after our session was held in Chinatown, a Malaysian restaurant that Lisa-L suggested.

Lisa... I have forgotten the name of the restaurant.

Ah... Now that you mentioned it (Jalan Alor), I found out when was the last time I went there (on 24-Oct-2010 with Sharon-O).

We worked on the Net-play (Bounce). Later, we moved on to work on the Footwork required for the Smash.

Both Sharon-O and Wendy-L have improved greatly performing the Net-play (in terms of both Footwork and Stroke Production).

Footwork to get backwards to perform the Smash is still requiring more attention. We shall have more sessions to work on this.

For a vegetarian restaurant, we shall go there when Stanley-C, a vegetarian, can come with us the next time.

They are the best Malaysian restaurant I have tried so far. The problem is that they are closed during weekends. Whenever I crave for Malaysian, I would go to this place straight away.

I had played baddy 4 times in this week, so need a bit of rest this weekend.

It's good for your physical strength and stamina now that you are playing baddy 4 times in a week. Keep it up; You need more power in your strokes to hit the shuttlecocks into the back tram lines.

Also, not to forget your soft touches; to get shots into the forecourt.
