Hi CATS trainees,

Just an early reminder.

MSAC has informed us this;

All Sports halls will be closed from Tuesday 22nd March to Monday 28th March inclusive due to the Grand Prix.

We will be sanding and painting during this period so all should be looking good when we re-open on Tuesday 29th.

Therefore, we are unable to have CATS on Sunday 27-Mar-2011.

Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 06-Mar-2011 (A Short Report)

It's great to welcome [B]Mirvic-C/B] attending her first time.

At this CCC CATS we worked on;
* Cross-court Netplay

Please note that the most important point for the Cross-court Netplay is the control (Footwork, Grip and the Follow-through).

Trainees are still hitting the shuttlecock a bit too hard/fast while playing the 'Cross-court Netplay'.

Sharon-O, Crystal-Z, Helmut-H were doing well. ShaoQi-C seems to be a bit off form.

Dina-S and Mirvic-C were placed in another court to learn the 'Basic Strokes'.

Lunch was held at Coconut House, a Malaysian restaurant at 449 Elizabeth St
Melbourne City;

Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 13-Mar-2011 (A Short Report)

At this CCC CATS we worked on Chapter 3 Doubles Low Service

Please note that the most important point for the Doubles Low Service is the control (with minimum movement for accuracy).

Trainees are either pushing the shuttlecock a bit too fast or slow. Sharon-O, Crystal-Z and Mirvic-C are performing well. ShaoQi-C and Dina-S are hitting, instead of pushing.

Lunch was held at Old Town Kopitiam Mamak, a Malaysian restaurant at QV Square, Melbourne City;
