The Finals of the 2013 Malaysia Open held today (Sunday 20-Jan) starting at 5:00pm (Melbourne time).

Here is a short report for our Sunday (20-Jan-2013) CCC CATS at MSAC.

We welcomed back Markus-H and Daisy-L (after their holidays in Queensland).

We also welcomed 3 new trainees;
(1) Alexandra-K.......Private 1-on-1 trainee
(2) Christine-T.........Rez's friend
(3) Tracy-__ ...........Met at MSAC
Hope that they had enjoyed our CATS.

At our CATS we went back to Drills.

Remember the factors mentioned;
* About footwork (concentrate on transfer of weight, not just your steps)
* About footwork (increase to your next higher workload; to train for longer reach and quicker movement)
* About point of impact (for the BOUNCE, do it at eye-level for better view)
* About follow-through (do it in the direction where you want the shuttlecock to go)
* About target area (know your margin-of-error)
* etc, etc, ......

Some comments on trainees:
1. Timothy-T needs more work on his Short Service.
2. Chong-C needs more follow-through for her Lift.
3. Markus-H's Dropshot is getting better.
4. Daisy-L's Bounce is now very good.
5. Mario-P needs to loosen his the grip. Holding the racket too tight is locking up his wrist action.
6. Alexandra-K is doing exceptionally well; She is learning different topics rather quickly.
7. Christine-T is doing OK (after learning how to use the different correct grips).
8. Tracy needs to count her footwork/steps as she moves (just like learning how to dance).
9. etc, etc, ......

I shall post out our next Booking List below (for Sunday 27-Jan-2013) for trainees to book in.
