Here is a short report for our Sunday (03-Feb-2013) CCC CATS at MSAC.

It's great that Gerardo-M is back again.

Don't know what happened to Bala-S; He said he was coming to observe, but he didn't turn up.

At our CATS, we went through the topic on Chapter 14 - "Level Doubles Players' Positioning".

Remember the important points mentioned;
* Staying at your 'side-by side' (square) position, you are getting ready to defend.
* Staying at your 'front-and-back' position, you are getting ready to attack.
* If you need to 'Lift' or 'Clear', return to your 'side-by side' position ASAP.
* If you need to return to your 'side-by side' (square) position, know who decides which half of the the court to go to.
* Remember when you return to your 'B]front-and back[/B]' position, what area of the court you are covering.
* etc, etc, ......

I shall post out our next Booking List below (for Sunday 10-Feb-2013) for trainees to book in.

When the shuttlecock is presented in the middle, between 2 players (either at your 'side-by-side' (square) position, or at your 'front-and-back' position), you should know who is in better position to play the return shot.

If you don't know, we shall discuss this again in our next CATS.

It's Chinese Year day on Sunday 10-Feb-2013. May I suggest that we go to Chinatown for lunch after our CATS (and to watch the Lion Dance).

I was at Chinatown today (Tue 05-Feb-2013) after a coaching session. Because I walked past Dainty House restaurant (located at 22-26 Corrs Lane, Melbourne City), I thought I would have dinner there. Luckily, I ventured there; Why? Because the restaurant was closed for renovation - A sign was placed at the door apologising for the closure, and it didn't tell when it would reopen for business.

It's good that you have made your 2 suggestions. Let's allow Daisy to decide (since she came from near the Sichuan region) regarding which of the 2 restaurants (that you have suggested) we are to go for our 2013 CNY lunch.
