This is from malaysia's local paper called Sin Chew Jit Poh

    http://www.sinchew-i.com/commentary/...d=200609281919

Of course, I don't like the way LYB distracted LCW. But it's really sad that unfair competition happens in so many sports - ice skator broker her rival's leg, cyclist doping, track/field stars doping, soccer player faking injury in WC, ... Even the Great Boston Celtics admitted that they put un-even floor to stop Laker's fast break... I guess "fair competition" can be removed from the dictionary...

Sort of agree....More people focus on the result now. But, after all, that is pretty much the only thing we can really know about a match, you can hardly ever know the story behind.

Sad but true, that many players / coaches / staff members play around "gray areas" to disturb the opponents or rules in order to achieve certain goals. Sometimes, it's due to their manner. Sometimes, I do feel sorry for them, as they are under a lot of pressure from their own side.

As a pro atheletes, a player has to be mentally ready for such issues, such as how to deal with hostile "away" crowd, be it from the fans, opponent teammates / coaches. A true winner needs to be ready to face any "unexpected" issues.

Yes, I remembered once Yang Yang was playing at the Korean open and there were a few shots the linemen called out. Yang Yang could not concentrate and lost the match. Instead of criticizing the linemen, his coach criticized Yang Yang for not mentally ready. Probably that help Yang Yang turn into a great player, also that's why Chinese players are mentally stronger than other countries' players.

I think LYB was smart to do the RIGHT (but wrong) thing to give an edge for their players, e.g switching off the aircon when opponent is against the wind as well as the scare tactics against players that understand mandarin. Imagine LYB saying the same thing to players with a Japanese/English background, they would treat what LYB says as noise instead. Also watched that video of him verbally abusing the Japanese umpire, I reckon the chinese head coach is indeed a bad tempered old man and the way he uses foul chinese language so frequently I think LCW's case was not isolated.

When people lost a game, they always find excuses for themselves.
I hate this kind of people. LCW and Malysia Media are a bunch of loosers. Not accepting lost is why they can't win. He is basically using this "break my leg" excuse to blame others. (We don't even know if it's true) If a player lost, that means his opponent played a better game.

When CNT was crushed in 2005 WC, the only reason is that they were out performed by opponent. No excuses, no BS.

If they have what it takes to win, then show LYB and his boys. If he does not, then the best way is to STFU. Looking for silly excuses make him looks really bad.

LCW's lost is not the only failure, yet no one ever mentioned other Malysian games. Nice way to distract the media, and Malysian Media did a perfect job to push the responsibility on LYB and CNT. "When Malysia lost, blame the Chinese for beating us" I respect all the effort these MA players put in, and i understand they want this trophy badly, but if they keep doing stuff like this, they will NEVER win any trophy.

BTW: at the time we discuss this, CNT players are training their a$$ off for the World Championship 2007....

No one heard that right? Not even mention in the media in both countries. Maybe LYB is the one who is imagining things?
