Anyone know what kind of prize money players received at this years world championships? Can't seem to find anything about it on the website; I'm mostly curious about the men's singles.

    Are you sure?
Just wondering how come IBF announced that Tafuik will not get points and USD$2500 from this WC? Do you get so much just for making into R16?

The fact is, for badminton players, prize money is not that important. The the most important events in the player's and fan's mind offer no or little prize money, WC, Olympics, Thomas/Uber and All-England. OTOH, look how shuttlers treat 6* Korean Open and China Masters.
