I am just wondering, in Canada here, I havent seen any SHB98 avaliable... Are they discontinued in North America? I don't want to buy them in Hong Kong
they've been killed much earlier this year, along with the shb89's. i had to order from china online to get a few pairs of backups for me and my friend. the guy i was talking to from bbesports said that i got their last 2 pairs of 8.5 US sized 98MG's a few months ago.
i think they already have been discontinued world wide. whatever is left is just left over stock. once its all sold, its gone forever. i'm lucky i have 3 pairs right now. won't have to bother with shoes for a long time to come
i rly hope these things are still alive in asia(as in i hope some stores still hold em in taipei). JUST when i start liking the 98's they get discontinued? yonex is evil. and replace 89/98 with that ugly stuff too :crying:
the SHB99LX feels similar enough to the SHB98MX. the new SHB65R looks similar enough to the SHB98MX. maybe give one of them a try and see how it works out. and places will still have them, but most likely in the sizes that very few people need, unfortunately...
does anybody know of a replica of the shb98? ie by a clonex company like kimoni or something similar?
Well from what I saw in the Yonex Japan website... They took out the SHB98M, so I assume they are discontinued... According to the website the 65R is low on weights..
There was a Victor VT 11 that looked very similar but it seems to be sold out here now. It is on the Victor Korea website, where it also says it is sold out. The sole looks more like an 89. In Korea, you'll have a lot more luck finding the real 98. The only Yonex shoe more recent than the 99LE on the Yonex Korea website is the SHB70. All of our national team players wear the 90 already but there is no sign of it online apart from the Yonex Japan website. The only signs I've seen that the 98 will be discontinued are the odd site that is sold out of it and one that is selling it for $5 less than usual. It seems rather stupid that they have discontinued these shoes without coming out with a replacement. The 89s disappeared from here long ago, even though they are still featured on the Yonex Korea website. They also have a 95 on their website. Have any of you seen this? The "KR" after it obviously makes it a Korean version but usually I've never heard of a model number being unique to Korea.
yes there's one replica aside from Victor. It's from Chaopai. But the details is just the same as with the Victor.
i saw the website for special edition in crystal mall... they seem to have shb-98.... well.. i'm not sure.. you might want to chekc it out... it's at crystal mall.... 2nd floor
Arrrggg!!!! Some idiot broke into my car. They could not drive away with it, so the only thing they took was my loose change AND my 98's. AARRGGGGG!
That place isn't a good place to buy badminton stuff. Go to tad's sporting goods at www.tadssports.ca
Why do you guys refuse to use the SHB99LX. I use both interchangably and feel no difference. Except the 99's are just so sexy.
