from theStar: Coming in TV9 in Malaysia: Jaguh: A reality programme about a nationwide search for the best badminton players. There will be a series of tournaments in each state in Peninsular Malaysia to identify sports talents who will then be trained by ex-Malaysian badminton player Rashid Sidek. The finalists get to play against the National Badminton team to determine who the best player is.
omg yessss! This is going to be awesome! Hopefully they make it super intense like ultimate fighter! Or racial survivor... (one of my guilty pleasures hahaha)
Hmm....I've heard a while a go that TPI in Indonesia had similar program... this one should be really cool if it's download able. I assume it's gonna be in bahasa melayu.
Sorry, I don't know much about the Sidek brothers but is there something wrong? I know they were good players and coaches (isn't the illegal S serve named after him?) but is there some reason he wouldn't be right for the program?
racial survivor? what kind of redneck programs do you get up in Canada!! Seriously though, this sounds interesting. There is an equivalent programme in the UK about football and last year the winner of the competition won the prize of a contract with Chelsea football club
Only in Malaysia. Unfortunately it may not be aired in other countries. Spore and Thailand might get some signals.
O_O . Nice. Something new in reality tv at last!! Ants get your tivo on now!! (I'm assuming you have one to record but if not, BUY ONE NOW!!)
Sorry Fend.. i dont have tivo . But i'm sure some other folks can record it and hopefully they will be able to post it online.
Indonesia has one named "Smash" ....... with the host Olympic Champion and World Champion Ricky Subagja ..... sponsor by Astec (Alan-Susi Technology, a very own brand of Olympic champion pair) ..... I just watched it once when I returned home ........ IIRC, they use 30 rally points, with every pair/player serve 5 consecutive times .....
TV 9? i think dont i can get that channel in sarawak. Anyone from Sarawak able to receive this channel?
wow!!! thats an interesting news... guys in malayasia must record these episodes otherwise you will be banned from badmintoncentral.com...
