I have purchased a new racket, I will not say the same to avoid discussion of the racket, but it came prestrung with the factory strings at a tension I believe about 19 pounds. This is a Wilson racket so it has Wilson strings. If I change to a higher tension with Yonex strings will I get a much better feel than I have now because factory strings I heard are garbage and really decrease the performance of your racket. Is this true? Explain.

Factory string usually are low in quality.

However, whether you should re-string (with better quality string) with higher or lower tension, it's down to each player's own preference. And whether you settle with thinner or thicker string, it also fall inton "preference" dept.

Unless a equipment is absolute un-usable, certain upgrade can only raise your game by a small margin. Usually disappointment comes with un-realastic high expectations.
