Badminton in Vancouver over the Holidays
I'm going to be in Vancouver from around the 17th through to the new year and looking to get as much court time as possible while I'm in town to prep for a bunch of Alberta tourneys in the new year. (I'll be staying in White Rock, but have a vehicle).
My intent is to train at Clear One as Darryl was going to set me up with a few of his guys, but I was hoping to hook up with a couple of BF's as big D might be headed out of town after Christmas.
I used to play Saturday nights at VRC when I was in town, but I hardly know anyone there anymore.

That's great, ViningWolff! Let us know how your schedule will be shaping up. Our group usually plays on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays... you're more than welcome to join us
. I could sign you in if you're interested in playing at VRC. However I got a fun tourney on the 21st and won't be playing much a few days leading to that.

Why don't you drop-in and find out? Depending on who you ask, there're some who absolutely love it, and some comment negatively about VRC ...

Hey ViningWolff thx for coming out on wednesday night, it was awesome meeting you and playing with you. If would be fun if you had your timing back but it was still already pretty scary with your current smash. Maybe come on out this saturaday on Xmas!

Saturday is a no-go. Wife gave me "the look" over that one. Anyday after that is fine though, even sunday night, though I need to track down some more shuttles.
Need to get my timing back, my arm was pretty stiff today from all the mishits.
Pretty cool to meet fellow BFers!
Now to consume my weight in Mandarin Oranges...
Cheers

Yes, it was very nice to meet Viningwolf and HSCalvin!
Does anyone have access to a radar gun for the next time? It would be really interesting to clock Viningwolf's smashes. Definitely one the hardest hitters I've ever "seen".
