just curious... how come none of the pros use cab21, 23 or 25? why cab20? is cab20 such a better racquet than the 21, 23 or 25? is it because cab20 is extra stiff?

cab20 is pretty much a classic.
by classic, i dont mean old or antiqueish....
by classic i mean it has no gymics; its a no frills stiff player's racquet.
other classic racquets would be the slim10 and the iso800.
all these racquets have been around for a long time and have proven their playability/performance.

Wong Choon Han uses cab21 (or did).
    Cab20 isn't extra stiff. try cab22 as a comparison.
    Cab23 relatively new.
    cab25 never caught on.

Why cab20 should stay available when cab21 seems to drop away? Need to ask Yonex.

    Hi Yogesh,

You seem to be wanting to buy a lot of racquets. Earlier you mentioned that the Ti10 is the best racket available and quoting from your review about the Ti10: "If u have the money pls go get one immediately.I am surprised to know that All the state players in India are still using 21 or 20 when Such great rackets (I presume you meant Ti10) are available"

Now, you seem to change your mind again. You either have lots of cash to play with or a huge compulsion to buy and own things.

    Bhura,

I have a ti 10 and i want a Cab 20 also. Man if u are given 2000$ and told to pick rackets what all will u pick?

I am planning to sell my Ti 10 and buy a new one. I still stand by my word! Ti 10 is the best racket that i have tried.

Most plp in the forum have diff rackets as their back up rackets. some even collect them! I love rackets and badminton.

So what is wrong in hanging on to other rackets as well. I never said the other rackets are bad.

    I presently own the following.Ti 10, Aerogear 700FX, Aerogear 2000Tfx,AB 2000 and Cab 3.

I have had the following rackets.Victor zenith,Pro kennex keron 1500,2AB 2000'S,Iso 60 light and other rackets.

I sold my Iso 60 and i am planning of investing that money into Cab20.

I am in the process of selling my Aerogear 700fx and Ti 10 for a new Ti 10.

So what is wrong in buying rackets. I dont undersatnd your logic.Plp collect rackets like Kelvin does.

SO what is your problem agst it. U seem to be having a huge problem with me. U accused me to be some dealer who was trying to make a quick buck or 2 when i was trying to help plp and now u are saying that i cannot collect rackets!

We INDIANS aer socialists by nature. I think u are looking in the perview of a Capitalist!

I think u have got me all wrong!

    Relax relax...... keep cool :)

Yogesh, do u think a player with weak wrist or arm power will find themselves useful with Ti-10. Cos I'm considering one too....

    Thanks for any feedback.

    Hey Blitz,

I think a 2U version of yonex Ti 10 is not for the Weak wristed player as Ti 10 is probably one of the heaviest and Stiffest 2U rackets in the market.

I read Kwun also stating something similar!

If u are really a very wristy player then i think u should buy the AS 1.I think it combines the best of carlton range of products. The AB 900 and AB 1000.

I dont see the purpose of buying a racket which is heavy when u are not supposed to use Heavy rackets. So what if it is Ti 10.On the long run Health comes first!

I think u can probably try the ISo 900 SS version. Not very stiff but ideal for an aspiring offensive player. If u dont like the Iso 900 then what u can do is buy the 3U versions of ti 8 or ti 10 or Mp 100.

If not buy a light racket which is more towards the beginning of 2U with a G5 grip.

This will give a lot of head balance and then it can act like a Iso 900.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks Yogesh!

Hmm.....looks like Ti-10 is also out from my list unless it's 3U....

Sorry Yogesh, I meant no offense. I have no problem against - why should I? I have not even met you before. I am frank with my comments and I may have been too direct. Of course now I know that you too collect rackets in the same way other collect antique cameras.

Never regarded you as an Indian but a fellow human being. Hope this claifies.

    Which Cab 20?

Which Cab 20 are we talking about, there have been many versions of this. I never did like the original Cab 20, that is the classic racquet, at least 15 years old. I wouldn't consider the ISO 800 or Slim 10 as classics cause they are not even 10 years old yet. Classics to me are the Carbonex 8 with aluminum head and visible t-joint, carbonex 20 original, and carbonex 21. Classics should be racquets that are still in production even after a long period of time, 10+ years, not a discontinued racquet like the Slim 10. I think you can get the latter 3 racquets still, brand new.

Anyways back to the Carbonex 20. Here are the versions I remember, or have tried.

    Carbonex 20 Original
    Carbonex 20 Tour
    Carbonex 20 Long
Carbonex 20 Power (carbonex 22 later on)

I only really liked the 20 Power.

I am toying with the idea of buying 1 of the classic model....till today I was setting of Cab21(orginal version) which I had heard some good review. But now got interesting knowing about cab20 and the Cab20 power.

Could any1 help with the difference or which is a better classic racket?
