This is good news, indeed. I wonder though whether they're going to concentrate their marketing effort mainly in Europe, at least initially.

Anyhow, no matter. I'm very interested to see what sort of products they come up with.

Well done Head and the Danish Badminton Association. :)

Flex point in the frame . Doesn't that affect durability? Especially for the clash prone dudes?

I just want to see how/ if liquid metal will affect badminton as good as tennis.

Apparently it spreads the sweets spot to the Whole Racquet  (i sell tennis racquets)

i guess being the new player in the market they will have to make the racket cheap to gain some market share, don't think they can just compete with established names just on the quality/brand from the start.

i dun think head would come into the market and come out with low-end stuff or clones. it would firstly destroy their reputation as a fine maker of tennis rackets. secondly, i dun think they would come into the market and get knocked out by the big guns of Yonex and others. they have to come into the ring and put up a fight. or else, it is just going to be a waste.

my prediction is Head will hardly be achieving much, just like the way Prince did with their badminton line of rackets. I remember ages ago Prince used to have this strange frame shape range of rackets that were easily distinguishable. Having said that, if Head could come up with something that is better than the Yonex famous T-joint technology, may be they could win some players' hearts. Just my 2 cents worth ;)

    I doubt it.

Head is a reputable sport brand (i.e. tennis), and many ppl already know them. Just as Wilson, a lot of players tend to trust them, even w/o trying out their new badminton equipment. Therefore, it's different for Head/Wilson when compare to a totally new established brand.

Just take a look at the Tennis racquets, I did yestereday. Everybody talks about clones of Yonex but actually do people know that it was Wilson that first came out with Nano Technology, it was just Yonex that put it into a Badminton racquet first. I think it's great for Badminton if the big tennis brands can compete together in the Badminton arena. Head have a great reputation and maybe the 3, Yonex, Wilson & Head can really push Badminton to new levels with sponsorship etc. Badminton players in the future at the Elite level might be selecting big name tennis brands which is great. Head like Wilson will keep their prices up there close to Yonex because they already have a reputable name and great quality control!! Viva la Badminton!
