I am thinking about buying a box of japan strings....:) but i can only buy one. I have the choices of BG66sharp, Cyber Natural 100, Nanogy 95, BG88ti, and BG75ti. Can anyone give me a comparison, review, or any recomendations. also i want to know how long the strings would last with nylon birds. I am looking for repulsive and loud strings but i cannot decide. Please give me advice because i cannot get first hand experience with any of the strings.:crying: Thank you for your replies in advance.:D

well you can look in the Reviews Section.
As for the other strings not in the reviews section, do a search. ;)

I've tried both Cyber Natural 100 and BG 88Ti before.... I preferred BG 88Ti as it is able to generate more spins to the shuttle due to it's sticky/rough surface. It also seemed to hold the tension longer than Cyber Natural 100.

My personal reccomendation would be BG66Sharp. Better feel and it holds tension well. Besides those that you mentioned BG65Power is also good.

However, he metioned that he will use nylon shuttles. The durability then might be an issue for 0.66?

Bg66Sharp is 0.68mm. It does not have any problems on durability so far.

Maybe you misread it as BG66 instead of BG66Sharp. No worries mate.

Well, in my mind, I thought since it's BG66Sharp, it's more like an "add on" version of BG66, which carries the same thickness. Like BG65 and BG65Ti are both 0.70mm. :p

Well same here. But i would say Bg66Sharp and Bg65Power is one of the best Yonex strings around in terms of usability and not price ehhehhehe..

Wow. Thanks for all of the advice so far guys. Really appreciate it. I am now considering a box of BG66sharp. I want to know how long it would last at 22lbs, using nylon shuttles. the durability seemed low on the ratings that yonex...so it makes me wonder. I also want to know how this string compares with BG80 (my usual string)....power, hitting sound, durability, control. etc...and what colors it comes in. Thanks for your help in advance.

If the tourny comes very soon, my suggestion is NOT to use the new string. It takes some time for u to get used to the new string (might need to adjust tension due to different stiffness feeling, etc). Maybe you play the tourny with whatever you are used to and feel comfortable with. Then, test out the new string afterward.

I'm totally opposite from you LB. I would prefer new strings. Don't really like old strings. Maybe i'm used to using new strings all the time. String doesnt last me more than a month nowadays.

I think LB means a new type of string...like switching from bg80 to 66sharp...
    you mean: old 66S -> new 66S
LB is more like: any string-> 66S

;)everybody likes new string...switching models is not advisable before a tournament...(though not uncommon...)

    Well, 99% as what I meant. :D

Yes, I was referring to a new type of string, especially the kind that you never used before. Also, referring to the "new vs. old", I still prefer to give a string bed a bit "break in" period, say, maybe 1-2 sessions of playing, then, bring it to tourny. ;) Therefore, only say, 99% new. :D

    ahh, ok...

well, I personally like new better, gives a nice fresh crack when you hit. (though not nice when you have a string that drops tension fast, like bg65) especially bg85/80/66 feel great when at their freshed...

might be personal, might have somethign to do with the tension range (I'm still at 24lbs: my netgame and dropshots are crap at higher tensions)

Personally, I use BG80 @ 22x24 on my cabo30ms. About 1 week prior to tourny, I re-strung my rackets, and give each one 1-2 sessions to "break in". Then, bring the identical rackets to tourny, and hope for the best. ;) Somehow, I just feel I can't use a racket which is fresh off the string machine. It always take me a little while to adjust to the feeling.

are they still at 22x24 after those two sessions? or do they feel less stiff?

    interesting pre-tourny ritual;) :p
