..looks like it's an advertisement picture; and looking at the very near bottom of the picture, there seems to be parts of a transportation vehicle; maybe of a train??..

    Tram? What tram?
    Who's looking at the tram?

Is this a real picture... I mean, one shot on the street?
    Or arranged for your shoot?

    Fantastic, isn't it?

I mean not only the pretty lady in a 'fast-moving' sports car, but the fact that Red took it also on wheels, maybe he was sitting in a car or a bus?

If that was the case, then we have three moving objects. Only the speed factor decides the degree of difficulty. And I hope all three are not at a standstill!

It's just a snap shot from the street.

    Default White Christmas

All of a sudden, it snows so bad this morning, it is so white outside now. I think we are having a white Christmas.

has anyone else had trouble uploading attachments in their posts? i keep getting errors that say i've exceeded my storage quota , but i can't find how to delete old attachments to reduce my storage usage. i've already checked that my file is smaller than 800x800 and is only 105kb.

thanks for the fix kwun. i can attach files again

here is a pic from my recent trip to indonesia. this is cibeureum waterfall on mt pangrango, near sukabumi. it doesn't look very big but the waterfall is supposed to be 150m high. i had to shoot at 12mm to barely fit the whole waterfall.

it's my first attempt at high dynamic range (hdr) photos. it was 5 shots taken between -2ev to +2ev then merged with photomatix. -2ev still wasn't enough to catch the details in the water though, e.g. bottom left corner is blown out.

the 1st pic is a 230 degree hdr panorama of kawah putih, a lake in a volcano crater near ciwidey, south bandung. the water is green because of the dissolved sulphur and the air was also thick with sulphur. my clothes still stink more than 3 weeks later you can see the fog and rain clouds blowing towards me from over the hill. the people near the lake's edge in the middle of the pic were filming some actors. i don't speak bahasa so i didn't ask them what show they were filming.

5 minutes after i took the panorama i couldn't see the hill any more because the fog was too thick, as you can see in the 2nd pic.

while i was walking around the lake looking for different angles to take pictures, i tried to take a shortcut that took me too close to the edge of the lake. the 3rd pic shows the outcome from that piece of stupidity

i only understood satu, dua, tiga, action! i don't know what the film crew was doing but i didn't hang around to find out coz the rain got quite heavy.

ptgui + smartblend plugin are a very good combination for creating panoramas. you don't need to use a tripod to take the photos, and the automatic stitching works quite well in most cases
