"Tama" the super stationmaster of Kishi station, Wakayama.
It took me 2 hours to get there from Osaka. Seeing and shooting pictures of her for half an hour. Spending another 2 hours to go back to Osaka again.

Yes, my wife and I think that as well. There was in fact a story behind Tama. We know it because that story had hit the newspaper. And we got there just because of her.

Here comes the pic of train "Tama".

..and that is to take a picture with the "Tama" cat raising her/his right foreleg..

totemo yoi!! the photos were even taken with your classic Canon 20D. The 1st pic, of the seagull flying through, is classic red00ecstrat picture.

My 1d mark3 is in canon's service centre at the moment. Even if it was ok. I think I would still bring along my 20d coz it was lighter! But in terms of quality. I gotta say it is indeed outdated!

That seagull pic was taken with my Nikon 500mm reflex mirror lens. I really enjoy shooting with super telephoto lens.

it looks like your camera is only 10cm above the ground for this pic. i quite like this perspective. how do you get down so low on a public footpath? are you lying on the ground when shooting or did you put the camera down and shoot remotely?

I put my camera down onto the ground with it tilted up a bit. Waiting for the object(s) to get into the designated position. Then I took it without looking through the view finder.
