A little story I want to share with you guys. The other week I was giving a presentation in a proper lecture theatre. It has this huge screen for the audience. And I couldn't resist putting up one of my photos as the background to the title slide. Our lecture theatre is rather cool. There is a computer which I look at in front of me and there is a switch to turn on the screen. For maximum effect, I started the title slide on the computer in front of me, waited for the lights to go down, and then switched on the screen for the audience to see the title slide. So this huge badminton photo suddenly pops up in the darkness. Heard a few sharply taken in breaths in the audience Then I carreid straight on into the lecture. Of course, it had absolutely nothing to do with my lecture but it was fun! The picture that they saw is the 2nd last one of this page (Setiwan receiving the doubles serve) screen title
nice touch cheung, i often like some unpredictablely from the presenter as it perk up the audience attention span much longer. Unfortuately that above link didnt work for me.
It was only a lecture on how to write some medical stuff.... I tried to place the photo in this thread but the software said I'd already put it up in another thread. Anyway, the slow method is to click to the 2006 HK Open forum and look for the Semifinal pics. It's the very last post on page 4. I've edited the link again. Try it now.
thx, that photo is a nice intro into badminton: player, racket, and shuttle all in one dynamic moment.
