I was in a badminton shop earlier today and i went to buy some grips when i saw a Winex T-10 there up on display. Seems pretty interesting, kinda like the 3U Ti-10 (Blitz??). But anyway, at the bottom part of the frame, there were pieces of rubber, i assume part of a rubber grip, stuck in between the gromments.

I assume it acts as a muscle power frame, absorbing the shock. Anyone tried this? Or anyone know if this works?

    thanx

where is the rubber thingy placed?.........if it is only right beside the T-Joint then I think it acts as some sort of dampener.......not sure........but I have seen my friends stick a piece of leather onto both sides of the t-joint......

The rubber was stuck in the same place that you would find it on the MP100

you mean, on the two grommets right next to the T?

if so, that's the way people used to string racket, they put a piece of leather there. the rational was because, before the days of the hidden t-joint, there is an external t-joint. and that piece of leather is there to protect the string from the sharp edge. stringers used to do it until the early 90s. then they stop putting that piece of leather there.

some old timers still do. i have one racket strung by someone recently and he still put the piece of leather there.

i'm sure Winex rackets were made in a factory and not an at home operation.

i doubt its a muscle power frame.....
first of all, the yonex muscle power frame design was not intended to reduce shock...it's purpose is to provide more racquet face stability and help prevent string breakage...i doubt sticking peices of rubber anywhere u please will accomplish this.
