What is the whole U size and G size in a racket?

    Hey guys,

    I was just wondering, can somebody explain to me what the G and U sizes mean on a badminton racket? I don't get it!!! Thanks.

    U refers to the weight of the racket, the higher the number the lighter the racket. G refers to size of the grip.

    So if the higher the number in the G the bigger the grip?

    For Yonex racket, the higher the G the smaller the grip size: G3 ~ 89mm; G4 ~ 86mm; G5 ~ 83mm.

    For other brand such as Proace, RSL, etc the smaller the G the smaller the grip. Usually they are G2 suitable for Asian player.
