We had approximately 50 players from beginners to intermediate, playing with plastic and feathers. The gym is open today from 11am to 7pm

well that's a common problem if u run a private club at schools or something, u have to buy insurance coverage for yr members and it goes by age group, most club won't buy the one for kids as they are not expecting kids to be their targeted members group. Thats why u'll run into problems if u want to drop in and bring your kids to some school clubs ran by indiviuals. I've personally disappointed a few parents, even though they are fully willing to take up all responsibilities if anything happens which is highly unlikely..
but still I would rather not take the risk. Its no difference then to let yr friend drive a car without insurance no matter if he is the safest driver on the planet or not. If unfortunately somthing did happen and kids getting hurt CAN be a lot more serious then just another sprint ankel for u and me.
So if u plan to find a drop in place with yr kids, just call and make sure they do wellcome young player beforehand. I'm sure there r lotta places like
community centers or YMCA that wellcome all age groups.
