an at800off is an excellent racket for singles...if you like it.

an at800off 4U is light, stiff and head-heavy. if you like playing with it, then what would be wrong? many other players play singles with a racket that is meant for doubles.
Yonex's onyl reason to recommend it to doubles players is because their grommet holes are 'more durable' and the handles are a bit longer...that's it!

from my point of vieuw, if you like the racket: stick with it, don't care what labels or other people say.

Now, if you do nót like the racket we're on a different track.

    Completely agreed.
I use AT800 Offensive, 3U though, while playing singles. It suits my style really well and I think the racket is overall better suited for singles than doubles anyway.
