I have recently bought a http://www.watdon.com/wd_home.html PILOT stringing machine, having done a little stringing a few years back, but dont remember a lot about it.......lol

But I'm excited to learn again. I will be stringing mainly badminton and was wondering should i start with the 1 or 2 piece stringing, if the 1 piece then 10m is enough right? but do people measure for the 2 piece stringing and if so how long are the pieces of string.

Now go easy guys, i know its a girlie question..

Do a search and you will find extensive discussion on this topic.
    1) Practice on an old racquet on your first time.
    2) I use 2 piece method unless my friend ask for 1 piece.
    3) From my experience, 9.5m is enough for 1 piece method. Some people can string a racquet with 9m with 1 piece. 10m is enough for 2 piece method. for 2 piece, get a pac of 10 meter string, cut 5.5m for main and you will have 4.5m for the cross.

Are you a girl? Why is these question girlie?

5.5 main vs. 4.5 cross is a bit extreme, unless you start the cross from top or bottom. Or, u r working on a "Y" shape racket. Or working on very low tension.

If normal ISO or Oval racket, and you start cross from middle, with at least 20-22lb tension, 5.2 vs. 4.8 might be a better fit.
