The fasting month is called Ramadan. (Eid al mubaraq)
The Raya month is called Syawal (Eid-ul-fitr or in SEA, Aildilfitri).
It'll be ghee rice, chilli chicken, mutton curry etc on Saturday, then it will be lemang, rendang, ketupat, curry next... YUMMMM...

The vermicellies in India and Pakistan are not the same as those in Malaysia and in SEA (mee hoon), the former are more the colour of noodles (mee) and are made from flour and are much finer, the latter coarser, white, and are made from rice.
