hi guys! can anyone rank yonex strings in decreasing power order? is yonex 'repulsion power' rating, in a sense, how powerful the strings are? if yes, then according to yonex japan website, their power ranking is approximately as follows: bg68ti bg75ti bg85 bg66 bg80 bg88ti bg70 bg65ti bg65 does this seem right? not sure about bg95 though, cuz they don't show it on their website anymore. speaking of bg95, why did they discontinue it?
...i think bg70 is quite up there in terms of repulsion....thats when u hit hard tho. i find that with bg68ti, when u dont hit hard, its quite bouncy..but when u hit hard, the repulsion decreases....but with bg70, if u hit lightly, there is little repulsion...and when u hit hard, it has more....
OT I disagree with this power ranking thing, because everyone has their own strengths. I use BG-65 strings and i can smash just as hard as people using BG-68 Ti strings. So i guess it isn't fair to rate the strings this way
I thought ti design is better than those are not ti design in terms of latest technology and the number bigger the rank should be higher at least the price higher.
You must use the BG-65, if you use BG-68 Ti or BG-80/85 with higer repulsion power, will facing the symptom and side-effect below: 1. Restring every time after played. 2. Need to buy more shuttercock. 3. Need more money to buy International grade shuttercock.
This thread is 8 years old so i doubt the people back then will see this. BG68Ti has less repulsion than BG65 and why do you have to buy more shuttles for using a different string?
1. You do not need to restring after each play, unless you suck and mishit a lot. 2. Again it must be your skill for needing more shuttlecocks. 3. Please explain.
everybody please stay calm, i am just joking. hehe... here's the explaination. hahaha... 1. Restring every time after played. BG-65 = most durable, otherwise, easier break-off on hard smashes. 2. Need to buy more shuttercock. 5 shot = shuttercock gone 3. Need more money to buy International grade shuttercock. 10 shot = shuttercock gone just kidding please don't kept in heart, i'm admiring Byro-Nenium because i felt very soft on BG-65 which Byro-Nenium can do well. please don misunderstand my actual meaning which i am actually talking about.
5 hits on a shuttlecock and 10 hit for only a international shot = fail. top players in the world hit 10+ for a shuttlecock and it doesn't break. This means you are hitting the shuttlecock wrong by hitting the feathers instead of the cork.
